Acceptable Use Policy

This policy applies to everyone who uses upload.pk: account owners, people who upload to a request link, and people who download shared files. It is part of our Terms of Service. upload.pk is operated by Pakistan IT Solutions (Private) Limited.

1. What is not allowed

You may not use upload.pk to store, request or share:

  • Child sexual abuse material, in any form.
  • Content that promotes, supports or plans terrorism or violent extremism.
  • Credible threats of violence against any person or group.
  • Non-consensual intimate images, or any intimate image shared to harass, shame or blackmail.
  • Malware, or files meant to damage devices or steal data.
  • Phishing pages or files that pretend to be a bank, government office or other organisation to obtain passwords, codes or payments.
  • Material that infringes someone else's copyright or trademark.
  • Other people's personal documents (CNIC, bank statements, photos) collected or shared without a lawful reason or against their wishes.
  • Anything else that is illegal in Pakistan, including content prohibited under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016.

You may also not send spam, collect uploads for a purpose you hide from the uploader, try to get around plan limits or security checks, or probe, overload or attack the service.

2. How to report abuse

Every public link page has a Report abuse link. You can also use the report form or email abuse@upload.pk. Include the link, what is wrong and, if you want a reply, your email address. You do not need an account to report.

If someone is in immediate danger, contact the police first.

3. How fast we act

  • We review every report and act within 48 hours (48 h) of receiving it.
  • Emergency reports are handled within 12 hours (12 h). Emergency categories are: child sexual abuse material, terrorism, credible threats of violence, and non-consensual intimate images.
  • A report of child sexual abuse material disables the link immediately, before review.
  • A link reported by several different people in a short time may be disabled automatically while we review it.

4. What we may do

  • Disable a link, so it no longer accepts uploads or serves files.
  • Block a file and prevent the same file from being uploaded again.
  • Suspend or close the account responsible.
  • Keep the relevant records and files for as long as needed to investigate, and share them with the authorities where the law requires it.

We tell the account owner what we did and why, unless the law or an investigation prevents it.

5. If you think we got it wrong

If your link or file was disabled and you believe it was a mistake, reply to the email we sent you or write to hello@upload.pk with the reference in that email. A person reviews every appeal.
